Art Description

Drawing: Ink on Paper.

Ripples is a classic drawing of mine. It is under 5 years old and in mint condition on semi-smooth, acid-free, off-white (slightly off-white but not quite manilla - image scanned in color) paper. I believe that I started drawing the flower before the water ripples. I intended to draw water ripples however. The story here is that I was so carried away drawing the ripples that I didn't even consider a possible reflection which is okay. Now I see the petals dipping into the water as appendages. This drawing was fun to draw and is one of my favorite inks. I would say the style is graphic Surrealism which borders Pop Art. This paper is thick. Yet it is not as thick as Bristol Board and the drawing can be rolled in a tube in order to be shipped. This image was scanned all of 10 minutes ago and looks just like the scan.
