Rosa Parks, No.5 Series Women Leaders for Change. Rosa believe we are one race, the human race. I believe if our world leaders embraced this concept our world would focus greatly on how to promote peace, focus more on taking care of people and our planet. It is not too far fetched and one day our world leaders will think more like this. Rosa was way ahead of her time. We were blessed to have her and history was changed because of her courage. Rosa is drawn on paper with pencil, color pencils and fine tipped markers. I revised Rosa's portrait today, Dec 11, 2023, with yellow pencil on her scarf. Rosa is drawn from my heart on April 17th 2021 with great inspiration as she became part of a series I worked on and will be also posting here on Saatchi. I create many pieces by request with recycled fabrics. I mix methods, but primarily use sashiko stitch to create Boro Inspired Art Pieces & Fashionable street-ware, art-ware. I may mix drawing, stamping, paint, crochet, knit, with my sashiko stitching to create my Boro pieces.
