"Schism" is a piece that elevates madness to the level of art. Invaded by a sense of anger and madness, the artist delves into the depths of the unconscious to give life to a work of death. This piece transcends the artist's own moral and perverse limits. It presents a simple figure, a smiling face that represents the dissociation of the individual in a society tired and atrophied by toxic positivity. In a society where the individual is condemned to be able to empower power, the other is relegated to a site of confirmation only, expropriating him of his identity, dividing him into his commercial and consumable parts. The piece also produces a separation: the separation of the artist from his madness, of madness from the place, and of the place from society. It is a point and apart in communication where there is room for noise, where noise becomes melody, and where the laughter triggered by one's own madness quickly precipitates like the song of a demon that opens the doors to hell, yes to the hell of the same because there are no longer future or past moments, only an eternal return, an eternal equal that condemns us to the objectification and perpetuation of psychosis and the compulsive mania of being sick of living. It is a piece vomited from existence itself, from an existence where social and moral norms objectify the individual to repeat himself in an infinite loop of the same.

Carlos Jimenez finds his greatest source of inspiration in love and life. His observation of the lives that surround him, which transmit a spark to him, is the essential driving force that moves the artist to bring each work to fruition, using pieces of memories and his heart, sometimes broken, sometimes filled with unforgettable memories. His work is personal and very passionate, reflecting his sense of the search for a truth that may or may not exist. His philosophy is pragmatic, but with esoteric and passionate points of view about the meaning of life and the destiny of each person in the world. A little referenced to Albert Camus, Jimenez accepts the absurd and embraces it. To paraphrase Frédéric Beigbeder, he says, “My problem is that I don't believe in God, but I do believe in miracles.”
