My work is an experiment of engagement between different disciplines. It’s a collision of ideas that produces layers of thoughts and each layer becomes an inspiration for the next. Continuous addition of layers makes the work open ended and dynamic at the same time laying ground for the next concept. Spaces “in-between”, texture and light become the language of engagement. For me the process is more important, its the story behind the seen that everybody is egger to know by nature and I think that’s beautiful.

Drawing and sketching has always been a tool of understanding and observation. I've always found sketches and studies more explanatory, rather intimate, truthful and engaging. To me it tells more about the subject, artists personality and he(s)r view. It brings the artist to the ordinary human level and engages the viewer into a private conversation... so I thought.... ...why not!... ...why wouldn't I tell the whole story?... why wouldn't I show them all I think of the subject?... why wouldn't I engage them into a provocative conversation, ask them questions and let them ask their own questions?... ...for me the process is more important... ...it's the story behind the scenes that everybody is eager to know by nature and I think that's beautiful. Being an Architect by training sketching has been a thinking and communication tool for me and my drawing/sketching technique is rather architectural, layer-by-layer. ...why ballet... ...this was unintentional. I never thought of ballet for sketching... ...but... ... My daughter was taking ballet since she was 6. I also involved and interested in ballet and when two or more things live in one person they eventually engage: that's a fact and it has to find its form of manifestation Dying Swan drawing was used in Blick Art Store advertisement and was published in the back of the Drawing magazine as well as in Blick charcoal paper pad cover. I also was the winner of ABT Logo contest for Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty. /
