Shelter (Set of 4 drawings) Drawing

I am very fond of the vulnerability that comes with being in a woman's body, as well as the raw strength that emanates from it - from Her. Body image is a gigantic issue in our world and I'm no exception to the rule. This series celebrates our bodies as the vessels and shelters for our souls. They are the expression of our inner conflicts and passions, the battleground for our experiences. They carry stigma, pride, and sensuality. We feel safe in them and at times we feel scared -- we are eternal beings in a fragile envelope. It's perhaps my favorite subject. This is a set of 4 small ink drawings on paper, it belongs in my series of close-up body drawings titled "Shell". They were made on Khadi paper. It's an Indian handmade cotton-rag paper, the edges are irregular which adds to the delicate atmosphere of the drawings. Each piece measures approximately 15x11cm. I suggest you frame them separately and arrange them in a way that pleases you, they would also look nice in a single frame and a mount with four windows - feel free!
