This large and complex drawing of a Hare with its face in it’s paws is lively and energetic, multi layered and messy, a representation of the best of nature in all it’s glory. I have always found Hares inspirational - their elusiveness is an attractive quality making it a great treat when a Hare does reveal itself. This drawing is really a piece to bring the beauty of Art and nature together into your space, it’s big enough to be a feature piece in your home - there are drips and splatters, marks and scribbles, smudges and lines - plenty to keep you gazing at the Hare again and again - something to bring a moment of beauty to your day. The delicate shapes mixed with confident marks reveal the sensitivity and energy that I apply whilst creating the piece, and the subject matter is uplifting This is part of a series of Charcoal and watercolour drawings celebrating the beauty of Wildlife and embodies their energy through the materials used. About the Artwork: Original and expressive Charcoal drawing with a touch of graphite, watersoluble inkblocks and watercolour using a mix of delicate and confident marks and scribbles revealing the energy, emotion and processes in the making of it. The drawing is approx 65cm x 50cm on 300g watercolour paper and will be sent to you rolled in a heavy duty tube - it is recommended that the piece be removed from the tube and flattened on receipt. The Artwork Will be sent with a certificate of authenticity

My work develops from a love of drawing and I express myself by producing pieces that reveal the energy and marks used to create them. I aim to inspire and entertain the viewer through conveying beauty, humour or expression in my work. I am frequently found to be using watercolour and pen and ink. Mistakes cannot be hidden with these materials, and so I embrace the challenge of Watercolour and enjoy the erratic nature of dip pens as they catch and splatter across the page adding 'accidents' and unpredictability to my work.
