I’m an English artist and decorative painter based in the Paris region, working across print, textiles, and surface design. My background is a mix of art, fashion, and traditional decorative techniques. I trained in fashion before spending over a decade in a high-end studio environment, then moved into decorative painting, specialising in wood and marble imitation, trompe-l’œil, and surface finishes. This hands-on approach to materials and process underpins my work. I grew up in a family of artists and was strongly influenced by my grandfather, Welsh landscape painter Owen Thomas, known for his atmospheric seascapes of the Aberystwyth coast. I first exhibited in a three-generation retrospective alongside him at the age of ten. Landscape remains central to my practice, both in oil painting and in more experimental work. I use print, textiles, and natural dyeing techniques—working with plant-based materials—to create pieces that translate landscape into both image and object. My work includes original paintings, limited edition prints, and small-scale objects and accessories. Along side maintaining my skills in landscape oil painting, mainly using impressionist styling, I'm currently experimenting with new multi-disciplinary pieces. Using primarily print, and textile and I am also strongly influenced by environmental issues and have been inspired recently to create low impact pieces. I am experimenting with natural fibre fabrics and hand dying techniques using plants, vegetables and spices to produce landscapes pieces, and clothing. Limited edition prints, originals, sculpture, paintings, bespoke jewellery and accessories.
