About The Artwork
The artwork began under the working title: "Phantom Limb". This echoed my state of mind at the time. But I became frustrated with my own desire to be alone and ostracised from society. And so I looked for a way to reconnect the phantom limb to the collective. The culmination of this process (and my own subsequent healing) was The Organ. The writhing hands pulling and caressing in one direction, ultimately massaging the collective unconscious, pulling in the same direction, all after the same end: a dissolving of the 'me' and the uncovering of the 'we'.
