About The Artwork

This work which is titled “The Stranded Woman”, talks about how in my area, a lot of young ladies go through a lot of hardships and also find it difficult to do things on their own. Before some of these ladies get support or help from others, especially men, they need to do “unscrupulous“ things before getting what they need. Because of these acts, many ladies have not achieved or attained their dreams because they refused to do such acts. Since I believe in emotions, I do talk to these ladies and also encourage them in their own capacity to be more positive . I think a lot of these ladies deserve better and also need attention. The size of the work is (20X25 inches, 50X63cm), and it’s well framed.

Alfred Kagya (b. 1998) is a Ghanaian hyper-realist and contemporary artist who specializes in pencil portraits. At the age of 10, he began to hone his talent for drawing. Kagya developed his photorealistic style by indenturing what he calls the three Ps: "patience", "practice", and "persistence". He works from live models, reference images, and his own imaginative prowess to produce his detailed works.
