This drawing is part of the series "The Unknown" created between 2017 - 2018. The series' main motif is the beheaded deer, which is used to question the role of hunting in contemporary society. One of the most famous symbols of hunting is a deer's head with antlers, but what happens with the rest of the body? This work represents the body of the animal after it has been killed and beheaded. The body floats in the unknown space, without any context or identity, and is covered in bandages. The drawing was done on a canvas (100 x 200 cm) using charcoal, graphite, and pencil. It was publicly presented in two solo shows (Belgrade and Novi Sad, Serbia).

In artistic practice, I am interested in exploring various relationships between human and non-human animals in contemporary society. My research field lies between two boundaries: the radical exploitation of non-human animals in modern industries on one side, and the radical protection of non-human animals on the other. As my primary sources of information, I utilize personal and collective experiences that can be traumatic or life-altering in some way, as well as contemporary philosophy and science in the discourse of bioethics. Coming from a family in southern Serbia, I have witnessed various scenes of animal farming and hunting since early childhood. However, as I grew older, I decided to articulate my lifestyle habits towards reducing the suffering of my fellow beings. I do not shy away from acknowledging the nearly 100% genetic similarity I share with chimpanzees, as well as with ordinary earthworms. The media through which I express myself include drawing, painting, installation, readymade, and performance, which I use to construct multimedia installations aimed at prompting viewers to reconsider their personal perspectives on the topics presented.
