Who is Mehmet Ciril? (1984-Tokat) Born in 1984 in the Turhal district of Tokat, he completed his primary, secondary, and high school education in the Pazar district. He worked as a graphic designer for a long time in central Tokat. He produced numerous commercials, designed newspaper layouts, and opened an advertising agency. He later graduated from the Department of Fine Arts Painting at Kayseri Erciyes University. During his university years, he developed an interest in portraiture and made a name for himself on television channels and programs by creating portraits of many celebrities (Cem Yılmaz, Beyazıt Öztürk, Deniz Akkaya, Jess Molho, etc.). During his studies, he developed a signature system to prevent his paintings from being imitated in the future. This system consisted of blood, fingerprints, and a traditional signature. This created a nearly inimitable signature, which attracted considerable attention in the press. For a time, he contributed to the Advanced Technical School for Art and Design, providing art consultancy and training, and served as a lecturer. (He voluntarily quit his job because he couldn’t find time for painting.) He was accepted to Yeditepe University’s Department of Plastic Arts. His first year of graduate studies was interrupted due to the coronavirus pandemic.
