When working as a nurse at the ER, I met many relatives coming to say the last goodby to their loved ones - and that last goodbye is so important! So, when I started to hear about people not being able, not allowed, to say their goodbay to the loved ones who died of the corona virus, or other diseaces because of the risk of spreading the virus, that made me heartbroken. This drawing is for all those realtives, my heart goes out to you! Painted with soft pastel to capture that blurry sorrow, when you feel like a half person when losing a loved one.

The purpose with Anna´s art, is to make people feel something. So, in the creating art process, Anna often starts with the question "how do I feel"? Sometimes it's a color that comes to mind. Sometimes a figurative picture that will express that feeling. About using art as a deacon, Anna say "I often use pictures/metaphors when I talk to people. It´s a fantastic way of helping them through difficult things, or just help them evolve in their understanding of themselves and to nourish their creativity. When I show them art I made, it often helps them understand a process in life, help them see things in themselves they have not seen before. If I can express how I feel, then it´s much more easy to help others to express how they feel. In everything I do, I want to come as a servant." Anna sees herself as "the constant lerner"; listening to and asks other artists how they use a medium, or a tecnic. This is her way of pushing forward in arts and keep the creative process alive. Her long musical experience makes it easy to try new techniques in her art and is not afraid of "getting it Wrong". In fact, "getting it wrong" can actually lead up to "getting it Wright" Anna Hermansson grew up outside Hunnebostrand, a small fishing village in the west coast archipelago of Sweden, but she Currently lives in Ljungskile.
