Rainbow Holographic Scraperfoil on 300gsm thick card / 305 x 229mm

This series, entitled Native British Trees, proposes a bleak comment of our aggressive present and a probable near future; a stark warning to how our actions devastate the earth, or how Britain’s interference abroad can impact our nation for years to come. The outlines of mature Oaks, Limes, Willows or Elms bear a remarkable resemblance to that of an artillery explosion, detonated missile or military airstrike, which in turn, have been manufactured on (or originated from) our soil.

These are studies are low-fi metallic scraperfoil drawings of images from news reports, which give a beautiful highly reflective shine against the flat, matte black background.
