Brilliant line. Human form packaged into a square paper box, framed like snooker balls. Decorative linear forms contorted like closing petals as a sunlight bloom reforms with the onset of night. And side crayon line rubbing ribbons overlaid and texturing the uncoloured figures’ forms. The timid physical human body as beribboned psychological package, an emotion enfolded gift the contents of which aren’t fully obvious or assuredly perceptible. Like Michelangelo’s figures envisioned in marble blocks and exposed, discovered, given form by the removal of marble about their imagined existence. Here too, like taunt sprung Jack in the boxes, your flat stoned figures bristle silently with pent up emotional energy, potentially set to burst into the viewer’s perceptive consciousness with surprises of meaning, connotation, and tentative life alliterative significance .

In my artworks I focus on contemporary expressionistic figurative painting. I like to immerse myself in inner world of my characters, full of passion and tension. I use vivid colors, dynamic composition and contrast between textured and flat-colored surfaces to convey this inner state and bring it to the viewer.
