Woodstock Drawing

I am originally from the Hudson Valley area in NY, and return there often. I am inspired by everything… from a diffused shadow to a deep crimson found in a flower. And of course, other artists. From Van Gogh to the unworldly genius of Michelangelo, from Alma-Tadema to Dürer, Rembrandt to Renoir, the drawings of Raphael or Da Vinci… or even a cinematographer like Christopher Doyle or a Prod. Designer like Dante Ferretti. I took classes in college and workshops such as Albert Handel. But I have been doing this as far back as I can remember. As a kid, I threw on a foot driven potter’s wheel for 10 years. When they put a motor on it, it threw me! And I work in almost all medium(s). When I chisel a rock, instead of deepening the amount of shading, I just cut more away. I’ve been in regional shows and have works in several private collections. But it is only recently that I have decided to begin selling my work publicly.
