I am an established New York City based artist, specializing in portraiture, figure works, old master copies, mural works (commercial and private), and I teach a bit. I am currently looking for more representation... I am originally from Woodbridge, Virginia, and came to New York to study figurative / visual art, mostly 2d/ oil paint and graphite/pencil, with a concentration on human anatomy, rendering from direct observation....I graduated with an MFA in traditional painting and drawing techniques from the New York Academy of Art. I have taught numerous workshops, and worked as a teaching assistant for many years at the Art Students League of New York, continuing to hone my skills for the last 15 years, working full time with models. I have been honored with many prestigious awards; the Xavier Gonzales travel grant for six months travel and study abroad, the Nessa Cohen for realism/drawing, Frank Mason Grant for painting, and the Fantasy Travel Scholarship, which enabled me to study at the Paris-American Academy. Recently I have been doing commercial mural works for Adidas, White Claw, Porsche, Audemars Piglet, and a 2000 sq. ft. mural for conceptual artist Aus Fischer.
