In modern times, as people have moved away from superstition, they have improved themselves, as well as constantly trying to improve their way of life. That is to say, from the beginning of modern times, a tendency has been observed to gradually conquer everything in human beings. But from a slightly different point of view, it can also be seen that in many cases people have done things for the betterment of themselves or in the hope of temporary happiness which has become a cause of destruction for future generations and nature. From cutting down trees, killing animals, polluting the environment, to fighting human beings, man has done a lot of other things in modern times that have made nature and nature's peace-loving animals restless. This arbitrary way of life of the people has made me think before the time of coronation, which made me think even more during the time of COVID-19 when I saw that people all over the world could not cope with the coronavirus even if they were united. It seems to me that the coronavirus has struck a chord with this super-confident mind of modern man, which may question the mirage-like self-confidence of man, awaken the humble spirit of man, and bring about a strange realization that might help man to be human. It is from this realization of the Corona period that I created the artwork entitled "Beyond the Modernity". Through this work of art, I have tried to awaken in the audience the perception of how we can be truly modern by questioning the so-called modernity and identifying the problems of modernity by looking at modernity from different perspectives. I named the work "Beyond the Modernity" to facilitate thinking beyond modernity. It was in this context that I tried to capture the modern time and some of the times outside of the modern time by presenting various elements starting from the form of the work of art and creating a strange feeling by questioning or considering them.
