ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Inspired by a hazy country sunset. The colours started an exploration of technique and placement in embroidery.The stitches are uniform in horizontal rows colours changing over the canvas. Dusty blues and lavender move into bright yellows,orange and pinks. 22 custom dyed colours are used all in mohair yarn with a gold highlight barely visible amoungst the vibrant colours.
