About The Artwork
My work is inspired by the age old Jamdani weaving of India and Bangladesh. 50% of the installation is upcycled materials like plastic net grocery bags, and yarns from various projects. It renders a feeling of walking around a surreal woven forest of intricacies in nature. The translucent nature of the weaving with appropriate lighting creates beautiful shadows which varies in venues.
