In creating this piece, I was inspired by the interaction between urban architecture and the abstract forms that emerge when reinterpreting these structures through an artistic perspective. The photograph, which captures a column and two roof beams made of visible concrete, allowed me to closely examine the geometry of these architectural elements. By dynamically applying energetic traces of paint and incorporating a constructivist color field in the background, I aimed to break the rigidity of the structure with spontaneous, expressive gestures, infusing the composition with energy and contrast. The viewer can sense a tension between the precision of the architecture and the fluid, unpredictable paint, inviting them to see the built environment as something both structured and open to reinterpretation. The choice of mixed media, specifically the combination of photography and acrylic, allows me to blend the sharp realism of urban forms with the tactile texture and dynamism of paint, creating a dialogue between two contrasting yet complementary mediums. This process reflects my fascination with both the man-made and the organic, merging them in unexpected ways.
