Nelson Santos, born in Portugal, where he studied Fashion and Textiles Design, moved to London in 2007. "¨After his collaboration with various fashion designers Nelson works now as a freelance fashion illustrator / costume designer. His illustrations have been published in magazines such has "Umbigo" (Portugal) the book "Color in Fashion" several projects for the web-magazine "KCTV", "Tricickle" magazine (Glasgow, U.K.). "¨ Showed his work as a solo artist at 10 Gales gallery, Drayton Arms, Club Hysteria (basement art show), The White Cubicle in London, and was part of a group exhibition at Fred of London during London Fashion Week, London Coffee Festival, Hackney Wicked art fair, Paddington Central Art Fair, House of Horrors, 22-26 gallery in London and SomoS, Berlin. "¨In 2006 was awarded with a National price for young fashion designers in Portugal and in 2012 was awarded in the international competition The Future of Fashion Illustration by Fashion Capital. "¨ Nelson work is a fusion of art and fashion, exploring a different side of fashion and the dichotomy between the beautiful and the ugly and the aspirational desire for beauty. Â
