ABOUT THE ARTWORK

I like the name 'Corpus Christi' though I'm neither religious, nor from Texas. It has multiple meanings, and has heavy symbolic weight, though the image itself could be a storm on the Gulf Coast. This piece is inspired by the burning skies. It is abstract expressionism - no subject matter, just making materials express emotions. It is a desire to create something beautiful and arresting, something where chaos appears balanced. It is a piece where thin colors are arranged and drawn on and arranged again until it feels finished. The idea is to keep your eye moving throughout the image, never resting, but never tiring. This series and type of work is on polypropylene paper, with markers, ink, pencil and thin paint. This piece is also offered as a print, so that you can enjoy it even if you're on a budget, and you can enjoy it in large, eye-catching sizes. PLEASE NOTE: Some colors may fade. It is recommended to either frame this piece behind UV Resistant glass, and/or to hang in a space that doesn't get a ton of direct sunlight. Or to enjoy the changes time brings to all things.

SHIPPING AND RETURNS
Delivery Time:

Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

Some artists are easily able to explain what they are doing, why they are doing it, and how they do it. That’s not me. Pulling back for the big picture, here’s my Life Statement. I simply hope to be at peace with being alive, and to love myself. Looking back, I was always compelled to be creative; I loved drawing, during which I felt OK just being. For the rest of my life, not so much. I do love trees, though. Clouds, water, sunlight. Letting go and enjoying those things. When I’m making art I’m making my version of those things, looking for a few moments of acceptance.
