- Dimension 50 cm x 50 cm x 3.5 cm - Acrylic on canvas, mixed media, degradation, Deep texture - Minimalism, degradation, the beauty of decay - Signed on the back - The edges of the painting are painted - Finished with coats of varnish - With certificate of authenticity My work explores the essence of contemporary art through minimalist pieces created on canvas, but with a unique organic aspect. My captivating paintings mesmerize the eye with their subtle textures. By playing with corrosion effects and using earthy natural tones, I create a true immersion in the harmony between art and the natural world. These unique works of art combine mixed media techniques, with textures created using gesso, wood chips, acrylic paint, and pigments. They will arrive ready to be hung on your wall. A certificate of authenticity is included with each piece. My paintings are securely packaged, insured, and shipped by a reliable courier to ensure they reach you safely. I’m Sergio Aranda, a visual artist with a rich tapestry of experiences that shape my work. Born in Switzerland in 1971, my Spanish heritage and life journey have taken me through cities like Geneva, Barcelona, Paris, and now, Madrid—the place I call home. Each of these cities has left an indelible mark on my artistic expression. As a visual artist and jewelry designer, with a certification as a diamond expert from HRD, my creative world is driven by a deep fascination with "Urbex decay"—the beauty found in corrosion and wear. I’m captivated by rough textures, weathered surfaces, and patterns that evoke the raw, untold stories of old industrial structures. To achieve the gritty aesthetic I seek, I experiment with techniques like layering paint, scraping, sandblasting, and acid washing. But my art goes beyond mere visual appeal; it’s a medium through which I explore profound themes of time, transformation, and decay. When you engage with my work, you’re not just seeing an image—you’re experiencing a reflection on how things evolve and age in our contemporary world. I’m particularly drawn to the tension created by incorporating industrial and corroded elements into my art. This contrast invites contemplation on the delicate yet enduring nature of our world. My work captures the essence of transformation, urging reflection on the ephemeral nature of life itself. One of the most exciting aspects of my art is how it challenges traditional notions of beauty. I find beauty in corrosion and altered materials, offering a fresh perspective that redefines aesthetics. My art bridges the past and present, reminding us that beauty can emerge even in decay. In essence, my artistic journey is about pushing boundaries, inviting you to reconsider your concept of beauty, and celebrating the unexpected in all its forms.
