Gender is the centerpiece of the "De la beauté sous le chapeau collection, delving into the suffering of gender identity disorders. Created on canvas with dimensions of 100 x 80 x 4 cm, this work is distinguished by its three-dimensional approach and striking reliefs. The bust combines masculine and feminine traits, reflecting the complexity of gender identity. An articulated arm holds a delicate flower, which is placed in a gaping hole on the torso. This hole, adorned with details of spilled blood, symbolizes profound pain and emotional wounds, while the flower represents hope and resilience, highlighting that despite suffering, beauty and vitality endure. The creation of **Gendera** incorporates a significant advancement in my artistic technique by using eco-friendly materials: recycled paper, merino wool, and acrylic. This combination results in an exceptionally durable canvas sculpture, enhancing the work's longevity while being environmentally conscious. The choice of three-dimensional medium and sculptural details emphasizes the duality between pain and beauty. Gendera invites viewers to reflect on the human condition and identity, demonstrating that even amid suffering, the characters remain vibrant and full of life.
