This artwork represents a combination of light and water in an abstract composition. The swirl of light hits geometric shape waves and abstract rocks. I wanted movement in the light emitting from the center with a multitude of colors but shifting to yellows and beiges. The viewpoint is a combination of overhead and thru the light. The work I create is focused on precision of lines and shapes. Geometric shapes are used for each element I create such as square/rectangle shapes for each wave. Since I utilize rulers and protractors while still wanting to use acrylic paints I have chosen to use CanvaPaper as my canvas because of its rigidity.

Bill Sotomayor is the artist behind . My passion is to create art that touches the viewer's emotions through the use of geometric shapes combined with mechanical drawing. Abstraction is an important avenue for as it allows me to create art with a whimsical nature combined with precision. I love creating art just for the sake of creation itself. Drawing allows me total freedom of creation within the confines of the paper. I currently live and work in Denver, Colorado. One of my goals is to live near the Pacific Ocean. I love being next to it to experience both its power and calmness at the same time. I am definitely a water person.
