This female nude owes its title to the fact that the model looks into the distance and turns her head away from the viewer. It could also have been called "The Woman-World" or "Human Planisphere" as the colors used to cover her body evoke those of the terrestrial globe, with the continents emerging from deep blue or turquoise blue seas. Intimate geography on a classic pose, Mediterranean atmosphere on an ancient statue up to her hairstyle ... This painting is a unique piece made in mixed technique on canvas combining photography, digital composition and acrylic painting (multiple transparent glazes that give a lacquered effect and raised squares). The work is framed in black wood (total dimensions: approximately 76 x 46 x 3.5 cm)

« In the age of digital technologies, I couldn't just be a painter or a photographer. My 'paintographies' bring down borders between techniques and offer a resolutely contemporary hybrid art. » I was born in 1975 in a small town in the French countryside and arrived in Paris in 1992 for my studies (History, English and literature). I have been a professional artist since 2007, with over 60 exhibitions across France and Europe. My artistic approach is both simple and complex. Although my work portrays a figurative aesthetic that favors clarity, it does so through a complex blending of photography, digital art, and acrylic painting. The result is a mixed technique I call ‘paintography’. My compositions highlight the fragility of the human body. I transform my model into virtual sculptures by replacing their skin with mineral materials to represent the passage of time.
