James has used his training in electronics and art throughout his career as graphic designer and art director. His expression in art, photography and mixed media comes from a place of peace and gratitude.
His knowledge of image manipulation software allows him to develop his art in limitless, creative ways. Using vivid as well as subdued palettes, each image brings a richness, vibrancy and depth giving an otherworldly quality.
Inspiration from many sources, including Van Gogh, Calder, Warhol, Lichtenstein and Haring have influenced his creative expression.
James and creative partner Richard McLaughlin have been collaborating since 2012 on personal and professional projects. It began with a simple photograph and has evolved to more creative interpretations applied to a variety of photographic images. Their expectation is for the viewer to be inspired by the subject matter in its current form.
