My adventure in the world of photography began in the 1990s. I mainly shot in black and white film, which I printed myself in the darkroom. I also worked with slides for travel photography, experimenting with various techniques and photographic styles. Later, I also began to work professionally, and I am proud to have seen some of my photos published in major magazines and websites, including, among others, the Los Angeles Times, the Telegraph, the Lonely Planet guide, Touring Club Italia. The advent of digital photography led me to experiment with new techniques and photographic genres. In particular I dedicated myself to post-production, which has become a fundamental part of my work and has allowed me to further explore my creative side and develop a more modern approach to photography. Over the years, my work has evolved in a more introspective and dreamlike direction. Even real landscapes often become a non-place, where reality is transfigured by light and atmosphere. Recently, I have begun to experiment with painterly post-production and photomontages to create imaginary landscapes and unreal atmospheres, all based on my original shots and without the use of artificial intelligence. My curiosity constantly leads me to experiment with new photographic genres and creative approaches: in addition to digital photography, I am exploring new forms of artistic expression, such as the creation of black and white prints on cardboard that I hand-paint with watercolor or oil pastels. Photography is a personal form of expression, but it is very important for me to share my vision with others, to give and receive stimuli and ideas. I believe that social relationships are essential for artistic growth, and I am grateful for the support and inspiration of my fellow photographers and artists.
