Enter the realm of magic, mystery, mythology, ancient wisdom, elusiveness and uncertainty! Peer into these strange new worlds and get a fix on where humanity stands within the cosmos, within time and within space. Perhaps from such vantage points, we can glimpse possible new futures. My new artwork relates to the state of planet Earth and with a particular emphasis on climate change and biodiversity collapse. It is specifically about trust and betrayal, between humans and nature. The aim is to create compelling work that speaks to what I have witnessed in my lifetime about loss of biodiversity and heating of the Earth, and I try to get a fix on where we are now as a species. This also points to the future by creating images of power and redemption that aim to move. I want to do something to shift the kaleidoscope. A kaleidoscope shows one pattern and move it a millimetre, and it changes completely, and I want to change the way we think about human relationship to nature as much as I can. These paintings can be purchased either individually or as pairs or best of all, as a series of 4 large paintings. Each painting is 130cm x 185 cm and the canvas is stretched on Aluminium stretcher bars, which are light and strong.
