Chatterings, squawking and swishes. That’s how I remember the place I used to play in the mountains. Our converted dairy farm in McDonald Valley with galas, kookaburras and cicadas made life always full of noise. Now it's the same but different with white smoked days here in my Enmore loft studio with the honeyeaters, minor birds and plane-bus-car noise. Still, these two match themselves with such mirrored delight and prominence that my art these days seems to jumble these two places together. Filling the wood’s tangled rings with my wax-full Luminance pencil marks that brighten and novelise the everyday nature that speaks to me. With heart-sight, these contemplative drawings shine light through the stained-glass windows within my body. Exposing my naked soul with country flora & fauna tapestries.
