A graduate of the prestigious MA Fine Art program at Central Saint Martins, London, Yuko Nasu brings a unique fusion of traditional fine art sensibility and high-end digital design expertise. After establishing a professional career in the gaming industry as a CG designer and gaining recognition in the London art scene, she entered a decade-long period of introspection. Now, she returns to the global stage with her profound series, "Imaginary Portrait." Her work is a poignant critique of the "melancholy of consumer society," exploring the dissolution of individual identity in an age of over-information. Through the masterful use of ink bleeds and fragmented digital layers, she captures the "presence of absence"—inviting viewers to project their own memories and solitude into her faceless subjects. Based in Japan, she continues to challenge the boundaries between the physical and the digital, the self and the anonymous.
