In the 80's, during a stay in a 12 step recovery program, Steven Tyler heard the story of a woman who had been sexually abused. He later wrote "janie's got a gun" which told the story of a girl abused by her father. Steven Tyler is the founder of "janie's fund", a program that helps such young women. So, he was present with me and in my work well before I discovered who it was!
