The small piece was inspired by me turning 27 and remembering the "27 Club" (A group of musicians that all died at the age of 27 including: Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain and others) and how I feel my life is just beginning as well as how short their lives were. All their lives were also so magnificent and epic that forever altered the world. They accomplished so much in such little time and how much more they could have accomplished. I hope the viewers will think about their lives and the amount of time they have spent on this planet as well as their thoughts on how they have spent their time so far. The style is inspired by comic books which is where I truly began my artistic journey. It is my interpretation of the bold linework used in comic books as well as the bright eye catching colors and the minimal face.
