About The Artwork
40 Acres of Flowers is a triptych about the land where I grew up. I really did walk to school a mile to the snow and spring not only meant birds and flowers it meant no snow for a year which was heaven on earth. The woman who cared for the land before us, planted hundreds and hundreds of perennials and bulbs across the meadows. It was both an act of art and an act of love. 40 Acres of Flowers is a celebration to gardeners and sowers of seeds that nourish us all in body and spirit.
