ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Inspired by my recent trip to Florida and tropical poolside lounging. This large piece is part of a series and an ode to my long-standing love affair with water, especially pools. Using a joyful, primary palette of colours, I was capturing the essence of hot sunsets in cooling evenings, swaying palm trees and swirling turquoise blue waters of my airbnb pool. This joyful piece combines watery and opaque layers of color with wispy and bold calligraphic lines and words of love and gratefulness to witness such beauty.
