A Vintage Turret Ship Painting

A vintage turret ship is fired in shrouded smoke, with crew and visitors on deck. Some are still preserved today for nostalgia. I painted this picture as historical and for nostalgia reasons. Some of these sea going vessels refurbished, replica made. They were the mode of transportation across the world-- for commerce and in conflict -- decades in the past. The past tells us where we are coming from, and it can be soothing at these present noisy times to escape into a much calmer past by looking at images like this. (The canvas has a sticky back covered in detachable nylon, if you choose to mount it on board. There is a perimeter margin giving allowances for stretching if you want to mount it on a frame.)
