ABOUT THE ARTWORK

A WINTER FLOWER GARDEN An original painting Inspired by the winter flowers seen at Barnsdale Gardens Rutland  and in my own winter flower garden. The robins are both from my garden and from Barnsdale where we always have a visit whilst sipping coffee and scoffing scones and cream-good taste I say. One of our most popular iconic birds the robin brings a smile whenever we see one.Robins are the UK's favourite bird  especially at Christmas! Males and females look identical, and young birds have no red breast and are spotted with golden brown. Robins sing nearly all year round and despite their cute appearance, they are aggressively territorial and are quick to drive away intruders. They will also sing at night next to street lights in cities and towns. Barnsdale Gardens can be found in Rutland England and are the gardens used in the TV series Gardeners world with Geoff Hamilton. The gardens can be visited all year round.  Geoff Hamilton was a firm believer and pioneer in organic gardening and Barnsdale was his 'great experiment' in peat free and chemical free growing. These techniques have been continued and the gardens at Barnsdale remain an outstanding example of these organic principles. I visit the gardens most weeks of the year and there is always something to see whenever you visit. It has inspired many of my recent paintings with its array of colour and textures throughout its different gardens. Its my safe place-A place I love. This statement painting will look stunning on any wall in your home or office. A contemporary painting, this colourful wall art is a fabulous flower painting in many colours. Perfect for hanging as a dramatic piece for your walls, this painting will brighten up any dull day with its beautiful colours and use of glitter and metallic paints. The picture really doesn’t do it justice, this painting is made up of layers which glisten and shine as you view the painting from different viewpoints. No frame needed for this vibrant wall art, as the edges are painted too. Art thou the bird whom Man loves best, The pious bird with the scarlet breast, Our little English Robin; The bird that comes about our doors When autumn winds are sobbing? William Wordsworth "If you look the right way, you can see that the whole world is a garden" Frances Hodgson Burnett "The very best relationship has a gardener and a flower. The gardener nurtures and the flower blooms."   Carole Radziwill This painting is 50 x 120 x 2cm on canvas and is in acrylics, metallics and fine glitters and sparkles. . This painting will be removed from the wooden frame to be sent by courier and will need to be re-stretched after delivery onto a frame. It will be delivered in a tube for safety. Please remember that Photographs do not show the gorgeous shimmer of the metallic paints and the sparkle of the glitter! This effect is truly stunning on this painting and adds an amazing depth to the painting as the light changes These will be a additional pleasure when you unpack your painting after purchase! This is a unique, statement piece of art. Delivery to certain countries around the world can take between 2-5 weeks. I began painting in 2010 following a professional career in wildlife conservation and the environment. My art is therefore inspired by my passion and interest in nature and places that I visit and love. I have always been an advocate of colour and texture believing that they can affect our mood and positivity in ways we may or may not understand. Being an extrovert and positive person generally, I have always been drawn to strong bright colours and hence when I started painting that influence showed in my work. Painting for me draws out the emotions around my love of nature and the outdoors. I am outside whenever I can be and I love traveling and exploring new places that then may inspire me to paint. I am a happy positive person and I want to bring joy, positivity and happiness to others through my painting as I believe focusing on the positives can help us live in a way that give us and others true depth and satisfaction. I am about creating connections. Between people and the natural world. Between the mind, body and spirit. Between people, their stories and their message to the world. Between emotions, intuition and energies that are present in our lives. My art is about allowing the creation and the magic to unfold naturally, in the moment and in an intuitive way that evolves visually before me through both paintings and installations and embracing the unknown by channelling the inspiration from the experiences and knowledge of the world around me. I rarely plan any of my work as I trust myself on an emotional and creative level to create the work that I feel deep within my heart. Most of my paintings are in acrylics as I love the strength and vibrancy of the colours they give on the canvas. I also use metallics and fine glitters to give a changing feel in different light conditions. I like to paint big..the bigger the better as I can be very extrovert in each piece moving and standing as I paint to give impact with each subject. I am about creating connections. Between people and the natural world. Between the mind, body and spirit. Between people, their stories and their message to the world. Between emotions, intuition and energies that are present in our lives.
