Painting: Acrylic, Pastel, Glass, Granite on Canvas, Wood.
Here I have come up with an abstract painting inspired partly from nature and the timing of making it. I guess every sort of timing can give an inspiration of some kind. This timing was cold in particular and I have long been fascinated with the intricate patterns that nature weaves during this season, hence the title. The crystal forming, the misty atmosphere and the freshness it gives. A lot of times it is also deceiving, looking ever so crisp and lit with sunlight, but the cold bites as soon as one steps into the outside air. This was enough to give me some idea to know what I wanted to paint more or less and then most of it was made up as I went along whilst painting. Composing the abstract as I saw fit , in other words.
This acrylic paint based piece also sparkles a little, as with frozen dew In sunlight does. It sparkles in places from certain angles due to incorporated tiny glass beads which twinkle with light that is shone on them. All complimenting the textured colours and contours.
It is also neatly painted on all the sides in burnt umber colour and does not really need any framing, as intended really. Also, on the rear of the painting are the details, including my marking.
