Born in 1965, Michele Guilloteau feels early in adolescence her first pictorial emotions in front of the works of Van Gogh, Monet, Degas but also Matisse. She is formed by professional artists and thus handles with ease an anthology of techniques. It especially chooses acrylic and the work of the material (paper, coating...) Since 2020, she works and lives between Guérande (near sea) and Frouzins, near Toulouse (31) in France. It mainly paints acrylic on canvas or paper. Drawn as much by the abstract and the figurative, her pictorial research is based above all on the balance of forms, lines, colors, light such as yin and yang so that the energy circulates. She uses brushes, knives to paint and even her fingers! The imaginary is at the heart of his work and invites to reverie. She likes to suggest without imposing. The exploration of the "line" allowed her to create imaginary cities, suburbs improbable. With its factories where one wonders about the human presence. But her current research on the "Horizon line" remains the artist's most personal work. An explosion of emotions, colors, childhood memories, holidays on the beaches of Vendée, fishing on foot, large spaces, the ocean.... The foreground is treated in a more abstract way with material that it lays with a knife to paint. Real or imaginary, her works remain an invitation to travel.
