Abstracción gris III/ gray abstraction III, is a paint of the collection named “trajectories “. Love this color palette because is neutral but at the same time stunning brightness ! What I like most about iridescent colors is that when they are seen from different angles, they seems different too. This is also what I think about life and problems, you always have to look at it from different points of view. Is acrylic over Canvasette Bienfang paper.

Web Ximena Agar was born in Santiago, Chile (1963), she graduated in Industrial Engineering from the University of Chile, a profession she practiced for 30 years in the financial and textile industry. She has always been passionate about art, taking classes and workshops with different teachers. In 2019 she decides to pursue her passion full time and began to set up her own art studio. Although she has been dedicated to arts for more than 35 years, she took up painting professionally, where she has developed self-taught, various artistic techniques such as watercolour, pastel, Chinese ink and acrylic, specialising in Abstract Expressionism. «Color represents for me, the connection or gateway to my inner world, where everything is possible, where there are no limits, no fears, nothing to disturb my imagination, my ability to create, with an enthusiastic look at a world full of colors who surprise me everyday.” Color in itself represents for me the whole, whether they are mixed or separated, they symbolise perfection, the beauty of nature and life, with all their diversity, their contrasts, in the same way as they are also light and shadow at the same time, coexisting in harmony and perfect balance. No colour is surplus, no colour is missing, all are necessary for the existence of the final work. This is the sense with which I also visualise the real world, full of contradictions, injustice, suffering, inequality, but at the same time, in some inexplicable way, all of the above coexists with the beauty and goodness of nature that surrounds us in different latitudes of our marvellous planet. Spectator of how life opens its way with force, of the shocking; of how nature surprises by its beauty, of its diverse materiality, of the inexhaustible human creativity, all that is a source of inspiration for me and I try to capture it in my works. When I paint and I am in contact with the materiality, my creative process is of total freedom, I don’t think, only feel and I don’t question anything, I see the blank canvas and I experience immense happiness of having the possibility of creating something new, like a restart, like a rebirth. Music that moves my hands, lights up inside me, the rational person who thinks he has to control everything is turned off, and creativity emerges, the colours begin to speak for themselves, and the composition of the work is built step by step.”
