ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Golden blue is a vision of a beach by night. The gold is the sand, the blue the ocean. Acrylic painting with several colors using a scraping and squeegee technique, made recently (June 2022). Jerod is an emerging French artist, living near Strasbourg. He has been creating abstract paintings for ten years now. He likes to work in abstraction with tools like spatulas that allow him to smooth out colors, unroll them, smooth them on the canvas and scrape them. The work he creates takes place before his eyes and allows him to express his emotions and his sensitivity. The choice of colors is done gradually without necessarily having an idea beforehand. Indeed, he likes to work with chance and urgency. Creating abstract works was essential to him when he started to paint. He has always considered this means of expression as a way for him to reveal himself but also to develop a poetic vision of the world.

Jerod is a French contemporary artist. Summoning the great currents of abstraction, such as Richter, Jerod delivers an intuitive painting, shaped by a relief marrying large acrylic surfaces. Painter of the instinct, his painting, worked with a spatula, offers a composition where the passages overlap, revealing the memory of the gesture and of a forgotten color. The abstract expression of the artist is rich in interpretations, the viewer's eye drifts from one stratum to another, guided by a light, a rapid gesture; the color is eclipsed, orchestrating the composition, thus the work is discovered, guardian of a past story. Jerod's works are permanently presented at JLF Gallery, exhibited at the Carrousel du Louvre as well as in several French salons, his works now belong to private collections in the USA, Europe or Australia. Jerod's paintings are sold in the entire world (Europe, USA, Australia). Certified by I-CAC for artist's prices. Check his profile on the I-CAC certification website.
