The human form is by far my favourite subject to paint. With this series I wanted to concentrate on distorted poses and not care so much about proportions. I paint these freehand and do not correct the positioning of the lines or faults as such. I just wanted them to be as perfectly imperfect as they were created. In this vibrant composition, I've explored the contrast of warm and cool tones through the interplay of orange and blue acrylics. The figurative form captures a dynamic, yet elegant movement, emphasizing the fluidity and grace of the human body. This artwork embodies an energetic, uplifting spirit that would infuse any space with a sense of vitality and passion. I wanted to use solid bold colours that sometimes are contrasting. I thought powerful images needed powerful colours. This comes on a streched frame ready to hang certificate of authenticity and registered with NRAAA. ........ All of my work is created using products to reduce waste on our planet. Ballarat Textile Recycling is an innovative initiative based in Ballarat, Victoria, that focuses on reducing textile waste by repurposing fabrics and other materials. This business plays a crucial role in the circular economy by diverting textiles from landfills and giving them a new life. The recycled materials are creatively reused in various forms, including art, fashion, and home decor. By collecting and repurposing unwanted textiles, Ballarat Textile Recycling contributes to environmental sustainability and promotes eco-conscious practices in the community. The initiative encourages people to think about the lifecycle of their clothing and fabrics, providing a sustainable alternative to fast fashion and disposable culture.
