This is part of a series of portraits where the characters are painted using quick, blurry lines and different textures to create a dream-like composition. The viewer is given just enough 'clues' to make out what is being portrayed, but still can use their imagination to connect the dots and imagine the story of the figure/person who is represented. Layers are introduced in stages and the direction of the painting is informed and influenced by each previous mark and colour. They are suggestive in possibilities and provide some insight into the sensation experienced while creating the works.
