ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is a series that I created on wood titled The Family Tree. I used round tablets because I wanted to give a sense of being in the womb. I used wood because what more natural. In wood there is strength but also weakness. In the series I show different stages in life from babies to elders. Family trees bare all and this is why the series subjects are nude. I want the viewers to see the beauty and innocence that we as humans have when in our natural state.
