When I saw her again on the cover of National Geographic was Apr. 2002, the title was " Found". I remembered her on the cover model of N.G in 1985 photographed by famous photographer, Steve McCurry in a camp in Pakistan as Afghan refugee. And I got shock how she changed for 17 years since then. I was inspired from her haunted and glaring eye of 1985 photography for this picture . I remember how beautiful she was but now she is not same person. I felt very sad who took her youth and beauty away she was just 29 years but looked like over 40s. " War means destruction of innocent lives War means tears of thousands of mothers eyes when their sons go off to fight and lose their lives ~~~" The war took her youth , beauty and also peace away. Her name is Sharbat Gula , now she is the mother of three daughters. This painting is dedication from my heart for her . Also wish her could live her own happy life .

Ever since I discovered the great impressionists like Van Gogh, Cezanne, and Gauguin as a child , I wanted to be a artist. Since then, I have realized that painting truly is the thing that makes me happiest and has kept my passion for life going. My life has taken me through many roles such as working in sales, intenaional import/export, being an art director for a local gallery , and getting multiful successful food business off the ground and sold . While I am now proprietor of a small cafe , my heart has remained belonging to art. While I have not had a chance to phisically exhibit my pieces in Korea yet, some of my artwork is featured online on th website for the Econrock Gallery in Seoul. www.ecorockgallery.co.kr https://ecorockgallery.com/author/view.htm?idx=3754&page=1
