About The Artwork

I am fascinated painting hands and feet, which younger and less experienced artists shy from. I find them sensitive and emotional. Kertesz is one of my favorite photographers. I used his black and white photo of Paul Armas' hands and made up the colors. I try to work sparingly so it comes from someplace deep inside of me. I hope others feel the connection and and poignancy that I felt creating this work.
