About The Artwork
A counterpart to "After the Feast", "After the Flood" depicts all that is hidden, a warm and luminous darkness, the place where plants grow, from which dreams emerge, the soil under the top surface of earth that vibrates with the potential of living and growing things waiting to burst through. The painting is painted with archival acrylics and candle wax on custom stretched canvas. It is ready to hang with eye hooks and wire attached to the canvas frame. It was painted at my studio in Athens, Greece.
