ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting is not flat. The complex shape is created with traditional canvas stretcher techniques, minus the straight lines. The color is layered dark on top of light. The navy blue found all the low points of the surface, and dried as it traveled, creating this beautiful one of a kind painting. Via gravity, the paint found its way into the texture of the canvas, and has a look of denim. The four corners all point out from the wall. This deceptively simple painting hangs on a wire.
