Alexithymia Painting

Inspired by the word "alexithymia", meaning the inability to verbally express emotions, this piece is meant to illustrate the idea that such a colorful person is hidden behind an invisible barrier in society and has no other choice but to break through. I was trying to challenge the ideas of society where everyone has to be "normal", by making the subject abstractly colorful in a way that draws the viewers attention to her story. Not only does she challenge societal norms, but she entices you with her looks while doing so.
