Alive is enough Painting

This work is painted on unstretched excellent quality canvas. It is hung thanks to a small horizontal wooden list fixed at the top back of the work. A second list of wood is attached to the bottom back to keep the work well stretched in it's length. This allows the work to be rolled and easily transported. This work was painted after a Spring spent in Kyoto, it tries to reflect the impression of calm, peace and harmony in the Kyoto temple gardens despite the world. The use of ink imposed itself. This work includes pigments of a unique kind: they are optically changeable: as you walk by the work, the needles of the pinetree and parts of the kingfishers will change colors (from an intense blue to a vivid green). This adds life, surprise and mouvement to the work.
